Principle of test
Execute a Java transaction in Aix/WAS and Linux/WAS, representative of a typical Customer transaction, in order to measure the resulting behaviour according to several performance indicators (to be clearly defined with XXX based on its expertise in its own platforms and the completion of Benchmarks on these same platforms.
The arbitrary target defined is reached in stages of transactions, with an execution rate of 1,000 transactions/second and an average response time per transaction of less than 350 ms.
Tests of both target configurations
Execute a JAVA transaction (see previous paragraph) 1, similar in terms of service rendered to the COBOL transaction, in order to conduct the same measurements in the different OS/WAS configurations of this Benchmark’s scope (See Chapter 2.1), while approaching, and even exceeding, the predefined arbitrary target as much as possible.

Exécuter une transaction Java sous Aix/WAS et sous Linux/WAS représentative d’une transaction de Production Client, pour en mesurer le comportement selon plusieurs indicateurs de performance à définir précisément avec XXX en fonction de son expertise de ses propres plateformes et de la réalisation de Benchmarks sur ces mêmes plateformes.
La cible arbitraire définie est l’atteinte par palier de transactions d’un taux d’exécution de 1000 transactions/seconde avec un temps de réponse moyen par transaction inférieur à 350 ms.
Tests des 2 configurations ciblées
Exécuter une transaction JAVA (cf. § précédent) 1, similaire dans le service rendu à la transaction COBOL afin de réaliser les mêmes mesures sur les différentes configurations OS’sWAS du périmètre de ce Benchmark (cf. chapitre 2.1) en s’approchant autant que possible de la cible arbitraire définie, voire en la dépassant.
